It draws nothing and exports nothing. What it does is give a spot on a part a name, so another part carrying the same name can be snapped onto it without either being positioned by hand.

The name is the whole agreement. Parts join where their names match, so different kinds of fitting want different names: a hilt that takes a greatsword blade and one that takes a dagger should not both say the same word.

It is deliberately left out when the part is measured, so marking where something attaches never changes the size of anything measured from it.
